One would have thought that the megapixel race is no longer relevant, but I am rather surprised to see Finnish phone manufacturer Nokia come up with the Nokia 808 PureView at Mobile World Congress 2012, where this particular smartphone carries a 41-megapixel camera inside. Heck, even the high end (and yet unreleased) Canon EOS 1D-X carries only 18-megapixels of shooting goodness. Obviously, the megapixel count of the Nokia 808 PureView is the highest to date for any consumer class digital camera or smartphone, but how does it fare in real world performance?
